Complex Commercial Matters
{Weston's Hometown Business Law Firm}
Glenn J. Waldman, a 15-year resident of Weston, is the founder of Waldman Trigoboff Hildebrandt Marx & Calnan, P.A., a Weston-based law firm comprised of a full compliment of experienced commercial lawyers representing many of Weston’s businesses and business owners in a variety of matters. The firm represents businesses and high net worth individuals in complex or high-value commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida, and in all appellate courts. The firm’s clientele consists of numerous Weston and west-Broward County based businesses, such as The Ultimate Software Group and The Signature Grand; healthcare companies such as Humana, Coventry, VISTA and Sheridan Healthcare; and governmental bodies such as the State of Florida (Division of Risk Management) and the City of Lauderhill.
Mr. Waldman grew up in North Miami (and continues to represent the City of North Miami) and attended the University of Florida. He graduated magna cum laude in 1980 at age 19 and as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He immediately entered the University of Florida’s College of Law as its then youngest student, and was first in his class after each of the first two academic years. He graduated UF’s law school with honors and as a member of the prestigious Law Review Editorial Board. Upon graduation in 1983, he accepted a job offer from the renowned, late Robert L. Shevin, Florida’s former twoterm Attorney General and later member of the Third District Court of Appeal. Among the many significant matters they litigated together was the successful representation of Joseph Robbie and Dolphin Stadium Corporation in various lawsuits concerning the land use and zoning decisions allowing for the construction of Dolphin Stadium.
Mr. Waldman founded the firm in 1991 and now, with the able assistance of his partner, Craig Trigoboff (a 13-year Weston resident), divides his practice between litigation matters and other engagements in which he serves as a state and federal court-appointed Mediator, an Arbitrator (certified by the American Arbitration Association and the American Health Lawyers Association), and a Special Master appointed by the Broward Circuit Court Complex Litigation Unit. For 2009, Mr. Waldman was distinguished by Florida Trend -- The Magazine of Florida Business as one of the “Florida Legal Elite” (top 2% of all lawyers practicing in Florida), and by Law & Politics as one of the Florida Super Lawyers (top 5% of lawyers practicing in Florida). Mr. Trigoboff, who handles many of the firm’s real estate clients, graduated from Emory University in 1987 and The University of Miami School of law in 1990.
Messrs. Waldman and Trigoboff, as well as other lawyers in the firm, are rated “AV” (pre-eminent) by the Martindale Hubbell® Law Directory. The firm was also selected by Incisive Media as a 2009 “Go-To Law Firm” for Fortune 500 companies by recommendation of their General Counsel.
